Montana saw 6 people die in a number of car crashes throughout the state over the weekend following the July 4th holiday. The crashes began Friday evening and continued straight through until Sunday morning. The 6 crash deaths push Montana’s total deaths for the month to 14.
The first crash claimed the life of a middle-aged woman from Kalispell who crashed her motorcycle just outside of Libby. Later that day a young girl passed away near Hardin, Montana after a crash between a car and a horse.
The next day a couple died after losing control of their vehicle and hitting a stone wall. The crash occurred near Plains, Montana and both of the deceased were in their 30’s. Hours later near Stevensville, a middle-aged man died after his motorcycle crashed.
Then on Sunday morning, a man in his 40’s from Idaho died in a motorcycle crash near the border with Idaho.
The July 4th weekend deaths raise the total of vehicle-related deaths in Montana to 78 for 2018.
