Two people were killed in a fiery head-on crash in Flathead County late Thursday afternoon. Montana Highway Patrol said the crash occurred on US Highway 2 just west of Columbia Falls, Montana shortly after 4 p.m. The Flathead County Sheriff’s office identified the victims as Marlow Moschetti, 27, of Kalispell and Linda Turner, 56, from Sumter, South Carolina.
Montana Highway Patrol said Moschetti, driving a Chevrolet Silverado, was reported as a drunk driver as he drove northbound on US Highway 2. Witnesses then said the Silverado drifted into the center lane before veering into opposing traffic. The vehicle then collided head-on with a Ford F-150 being driven by Turner.
Moschetti is reported to have been traveling close to 100 miles per hour at the time of the crash. The crash was intense both vehicles instantly burst into flames. Both victims died in the crash.
Montana Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
