An 89-year old man from California died in a single-car accident late Thursday morning in near Apex, Montana. The accident took place shortly after 11 a.m. in Beaverhead County.
Montana Highway Patrol said the elderly man was driving in the southbound lane of I-15 when his GMC Canyon suddenly swerved to the right and then to the left before finally losing control and flipping over again and again after striking the median. The Canyon continued to roll right over the northbound lanes before coming to a stop on the opposite side of the interstate.
Montana Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident and have yet to determine just what might have caused it. Luckily, no one else was hurt in the accident.
