A local Circle man died early Monday morning in a rollover crash along Highway 200. Montana Police do not know the exact time the rollover crash occurred, but were alerted to the crash after multiple phone calls shortly after 7 a.m. that morning.
Witnesses reported that the rollover crash victim’s truck, a white Ford F-150, suddenly careened off of the left side of Highway 200. The truck then smashed into a telephone pole, flipped over several times, and smashed into a nearby fence. The truck eventually came to a halt back on its wheels.
Montana Highway Patrol does not know the cause of the rollover crash, nor if drugs or alcohol played a part. Due to the violence of the crash, investigators suspect excessive speed might be the cause. The scene of the crash was not far from the 294 mile marker.
The rollover crash victim has yet to be identified. Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Joel Gramm, however, said the victim was from Circle, Montana and was in his late 50’s.
Emergency responders pronounced the rollover crash victim dead at the scene, nor was he wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
