A 32-year old man died in a motorcycle Thursday night in Billings, Montana. Billings police said the accident took place just before 8:30 p.m. on King Avenue West nearby Fallow Lane.
Witnesses who contacted 911 said the motorcyclist was not breathing and was unconscious following the accident. Sergeant Nate West of the Billings Police Department confirmed that the motorcyclist was still unconscious when first responders arrived to treat him.
A Billings Police Department release said that the accident took place after the motorcyclist hit a curb on King Avenue, lost control, and was “ejected from the motorcycle.” The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, but it wasn’t enough to protect him. He was rushed to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
Another motorcyclist was at the scene of the accident but he doesn’t seem to have been involved.
Billings Police Department is investigating whether speed and alcohol are to blame for the accident.
